We are a small business and therefore any cancellations can have a major impact on our business’s opportunities for sustainable development. Every booking means that we turn away guests i favor for your booking. But we understand that sometimes things happen that you could not foresee and we always try to be as accommodating as we can to find a good solution. Our rules for cancellation are therefore a balance between our ability to minimize the costs your booking has already contributed to and your needs as a guest to minimize your cost for cancellation.

When you buy a trip or activity from Scandinavia Adventure Travels, this falls under Swedish consumer legislation, including the Package Travel Act, the Product Safety Act and the Travel Guarantee Act.

For the trip, the general terms and conditions of the Swedish Travel Agency and Organizers Association (SRF) agreed within the industry on 28 June 2018 and the special terms and conditions of the organizer, which are stated below, apply.

The tour operator has the right to apply special conditions that deviate from the general ones, if the application of special conditions is justified by the special nature of the trip, special regulations on the mode of transport (such as booking and sales conditions for regular flights), deviating accommodation conditions due to the special nature of the trip or special circumstances at the destination.

In cases where SRF’s conditions for package travel and the special travel conditions conflict, the special travel conditions apply

The special conditions must not conflict with the package travel law to the detriment of the traveller.

The general and special conditions are part of the agreement.

Scandinavia Adventure Travel’s special conditions for activities that last up to and including one day, e.g. day trip hikes, day trip ski touring, day trip top ski touring.

1. THE AGREEMENT

1.1 The agreement is binding for the parties when the customer has completed the booking and Scandinavia Adventure Travels has confirmed the customer’s order in writing.

1.2 Verbal terms and conditions from Scandinavia Adventure Travels must be requested in writing in order to be invoked

2. PRICE AND PAYMENT

2.1 Payment takes place in connection with the registration when the customer has received a booking confirmation with information about payment, unless otherwise agreed

2.2 Non-payment is equivalent to cancellation of activity

3. CANCELLATION AND CHANGES

3.1 Private customers

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the start of the activity. In case of cancellation later than 48 hours before the start, 100% of the total amount of the activity is charged.

3.2 GROUPS

For group bookings with a total amount of SEK 10,000 or more, free cancellation applies up to 31 days before the start of the activity. For group bookings with a total amount under SEK 10,000, the same conditions apply as for private customers according to point 3 above.

Scandinavia Adventure Travel’s special conditions for trips that last over several days, eg hiking and skiing over several days with accommodation in cabins, tents, mountain stations or hotels.

1. THE AGREEMENT

2. PRICE AND PAYMENT

2.1 Scandinavia Adventure Travels may not request final payment of the trip earlier than 40 days before departure unless specifically agreed

2.2 Failure to make final payment is equivalent to cancellation of the trip

2.3 The registration fee for the trip amounts to 20% of the total price of the travel arrangement.

3. CANCELLATION AND CHANGES

When canceling a trip, the following costs are incurred. The cancellation rules apply from the time you started the booking process.

3.1 If a trip is canceled 31 days or more before departure, the traveler must pay the registration fee.

3.2 If a trip is canceled 30 – 7 days before departure, the traveler must pay 50% of the trip price.

3.3 If a trip is canceled 7-0 days before departure, the traveler must pay 100% of the trip price.

3.4 Cancellation of trip.

Cancellation must be made immediately when obstacles to travel arise. Cancellation must take place as follows. In the first instance by phone 072-5284379, in the second instance via e-mail larssvanerud@gmail.com. Cancellations received by the organizer after the departure of the trip will not be accepted. The nature of some trips means different cancellation conditions than paragraphs 3.1 – 3.3, which in such cases must be specified at the time of booking.

3.5 Any change made by the traveler after receiving confirmation is to be considered a cancellation and a new order. For this, a cost is charged in accordance with the cancellation rules in point 3

4. THE TRAVELER’S RIGHT TO ASSIGN THE AGREEMENT

4.1 In some cases, a change of traveler may entail direct costs, for example, the rental of equipment. All costs for name change, rebooking or other administrative measures are charged to the traveler in full.

4.2 CHANGES BY THE ORGANIZER BEFORE DEPARTURE

4.3 Right to change the contract terms.

Due to the nature of the journeys, it is impossible to predict the exact course. Weather, authorities, etc. may force changes to the itinerary. Airlines/train companies may change their times or routes, accommodations may have changed. Scandinavia Adventure Travels strives to find equivalent compensation. Travel plans are therefore always preliminary. To travel on this ty Travel plans are therefore always preliminary. Traveling on these types of trips means accepting circumstances beyond the control of even the most skilled tour operator. By registering, the traveler accepts this fact. Scandinavia Adventure Travels reserves the right to make changes to the terms and conditions applicable to the trip to the traveler’s disadvantage.

4.4 Minimum number of participants. The minimum number of participants can be seen from each trip. If the minimum number is not reached, the trip can often be carried out for a small price supplement instead of being cancelled. If the price is adjusted due to additions when the minimum number of participants has not been reached, the traveler has the right to cancel the trip. After confirmation that additions are accepted, cancellation rules according to point 3 apply.

5. COMPLAINTS

5.1 Complaints must be sent to Scandinavia Adventure Travels as soon as possible, no later than two months after returning home from the trip.

6. THE TRAVELER’S RESPONSIBILITIES DURING THE TRIP

6.1 Requirements for special documents as well as vaccinations and travel insurance

Before the trip, the traveler is responsible for finding out which documents, such as identity documents, passports and/or visas, are required before and during the trip.

The traveler is also responsible for contacting the vaccination center to receive exact recommendations for their trip.

The traveler is obliged to have adequate health and accident insurance for the entire travel period.

6.2 Control of travel documents

The traveler is obliged to check confirmations and travel documents themselves as soon as they are received. Any inaccuracies must be reported immediately.

7. CHARACTER OF TRAVELS

7.1 Our trips involve a certain degree of hardship and unexpected events. Some of them also make demands on the fitness of the participants. It is up to the traveler himself to choose a trip of such difficulty that he is convinced of being able to participate in all stages of the trip. The purpose of the trips is often for the participants to ski, hike, or practice other activities, which can involve certain risks. The participant participates under his own responsibility and Scandinavia Adventure Travels cannot be held responsible for injuries he or she incurs during the activities.

7.2 Statement of physical complaints

In connection with booking, the traveler must inform about any physical problems that may affect the tour.

8. WEBSITES

8.1 Scandinavia Adventure Travels is not responsible for the accuracy of information provided on websites other than Scandinavia Adventure Travels’ own website (scandinaviaadventuretravels.se). This also applies to links from other pages.

9. PERSONAL DATA

9.1 Scandinavia Adventure Travels  have a egister of booked customers. This information is kept according to the guidelines in the Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation). They are only used internally for information purposes to customers. Information from the register is not handed over to third parties except as information in applicable parts to the respective local organizer. Anyone who does not wish to remain in the register after a completed trip must notify Scandinavia Adventure Travels of this in writing.

10. TRAVEL GUARANTEE

10.1 When buying a package trip (a trip consisting of at least two of the parts transport, accommodation, activity, e.g. accommodation and hiking), the Package Travel Act applies. Scandinavia Adventure Travels is a member of VISITA and through this has placed a statutory travel guarantee with the Kammarkollegiet. This guarantee means that the traveler is entitled to compensation for a canceled or interrupted trip in the event that Scandinavia Adventure Travels becomes insolvent. The application for compensation must have been received by the Travel Guarantee Board no later than three months after the trip was canceled or interrupted.
